Frank William Kimble

Frank William Kimble, age 92, of Round Oak, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank Kimble was born on Dec. 23, 1933, in Gum Log, Georgia to the late Willie Mae Gibson Eller.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded by his loving wife of sixty years, Carolyn Faye Gordon Kimble; stepfather, Virgil Eller and sister, Jeanette McElveen.

Frank was a proud Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He would later go on to be the Head Sewing Machine Mechanic for the Monticello Manufacturing Company (Oxford Industries) in Monticello for thirty-five years. After the sewing plant closed, he worked for Harris Sample Book for ten years. Frank loved to work and never missed a day.

Frank was a devoted and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Mr. Kimble is survived by his children, Kathy (Mitch) Layton of Chesapeake, Virginia, Kandy (Jeff) Stanford of Gray, Tim (Paula) Kimble of Round Oak, and Todd Kimble of Round Oak; grandchildren, Jessica (Ben Manning), Marcus (Brooke) Stanford, Amber (Justin) Ruff, Nick Kimble, Marcus (Alana) Gregory, and Joshua Jeanes; great-grandchildren, Hudson Manning, Conner Manning, Mayson Stanford, Mallex Stanford, Jace Ruff, Ansley Ruff, and Amelia Gregory; special loving sister-in-law, Trudy Gordon of Round Oak; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jordan Funeral Home, 264 Hillsboro Street, Monticello, Georgia 31064. Interment was held in the Gordon Family Cemetery in Jones County. Bishop Greg Banks officiated.

Serving as pallbearers were Danny Roland, Leon Etheridge, Ben Manning, Chad Rodeheaver, Will Perry and Zack Huckeba.

The family received friends at Jordan Funeral Home on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
