George William Glover

March 26, 2026

George William Glover passed peacefully in his sleep the morning of March 26, 2026. George was the son of George William Glover, Sr. and Donnie Virginia Josey, born in Milledgeville, Georgia. George was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Glover and son, Kerry Glover. He is survived by one sister, Ginger Byrd; and four children: Randy Glover (Amy), Danny Glover (Joni), Dennis Glover (Connie), and Michele Glover Prim (David).

George was also blessed with thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

George loved his Georgia Bulldogs, his Mercer Bears and the Atlanta Braves! His favorite activity was fishing, which included the days long preparation leading up to the fishing trip, the actual fishing trip with all the stories, and a fish fry to follow for the icing on the cake! George dreamed of winning the lottery, buying a motor home, and seeing the country. He loved to travel and experience new places when he wasn’t mowing his grass! He never met a stranger! His absence will leave a huge void in the hearts and lives of the family and friends that loved him dearly. George will forever shine brightly in all of our hearts!

A celebration of his life was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Elam Baptist Church.

The family received friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service. Burial followed immediately after in the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery.
