Jan. 8, 1957 - April 15, 2026
Wendell Garry Kitchens passed away on April 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
Funeral arrangements are forthcoming.
Wendell proudly served his country with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He always carried his service and sacrifice with quiet strength and honor.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who brought joy to those around him with his quick wit and constant joking—especially when his beloved son-in-law was nearby. He had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures, whether it was cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers, watching football and baseball, or spending time gathered around the table playing cards and Yahtzee with his family.
A man of strong faith, Wendell never missed an opportunity to speak about God, sharing his beliefs openly and warmly with anyone he met. He truly wanted the best for everyone and lived his life guided by kindness, generosity, and a genuine care for others.
We find comfort in knowing there was a joyful celebration as he entered the pearly gates of Heaven and reunited with his beloved wife, Theresa Kitchens; his daughter, Crystal; his brother, Chuck; his nephew, Rad; and his mother and father. He is survived by his daughters, Samantha Kitchens and Tabitha Brown (Ronald Brown); his grandchildren, Kiersten Carter, Alexis Carter, Raeanna Brown, and Brandon Brown (Erin Brown); and his greatgrandson, Nathan Brown. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, whom he loved and cherished as his own.
Wendell will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the faith he carried throughout his life.
