The all-time leading scorer in the history of Jones County football now has a college home. Evan West, who officially graduates in May, officially signed to play football at Ave Maria University, as announced last week. West, who graduates with 302 all-time points, was also named the region special teams player of the year twice. He’ll now compete for playing time with the Gyrenes, who play in the Sun Conference which is home to NAIA schools including Ave Maria, located in southwest Florida. BRAD HARRISON/Staff
