Dear Editor:
I am a resident of Jones County. On Saturday, April 23rd, I took my 89-year-old mother to watch her greatgrandson play t-ball at the Jones Recreation Complex. We parked as close as possible to the field; however, the walk was still a challenge for someone who needed assistance. To my surprise, one of the employees at the complex had spotted us getting out of the car and drove the golf cart over to provide his assistance.
We were blessed that day by the kindness and compassion of Anthony who was patient and caring towards Mom in transporting her directly to the field and then returned to transport her back to our car. What a gentleman!! I cannot say enough about Anthony! The park is very fortunate to have such a compassionate person representing the park. He went above and beyond! He contributed greatly to Mom’s experience that day! It has been two years since she has been able to watch her great-grandsons play ball and this was the highlight of her week! Thanks Anthony!!
