Dear editor:
Huge shoutout to Gray PD! While my husband was driving to work last Sunday night, he noticed a rattlesnake, which was at least 4 and a half feet, in our driveway. Instead of shooting it at midnight in a residential neighborhood, he decided it would be better to call the police department to take care of it for us. Two officers from Gray PD arrived (unfortunately I did not get the officers’ names). They also decided midnight was a little too late to be firing off a gun in a residential neighborhood. They captured the snake for us (we graciously donated our trash can for snake storage) and took it off to be relocated. I wanted to say thank you to them and their department for sending out officers to handle the snake, especially with it being so late.
