A new gym has opened in Gray

Fitness Inferno, provides new and different health and fitness options for residents of Jones County. Rob Daughtry and Eddie Wright, owners and health partners of Fitness Inferno, are happy to open the gym. The new gym is located at 510 Settlement Point Road in Gray, and staff is available Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Wright is originally from Milledgeville but has been a Jones County resident since 1998. He enjoys the community environment of Jones County. “You have everyone looking out for each other,” Wright said.

“It’s just homey to me. We have a great school system here.”

The gym is split up in different sections, to make it easier for people to find where they want to be and reach their goals.

According to Wright, there are too many clubs out there that want to take people’s money so he aspires to help people reach their fitness goals in a comfortable environment at Fitness Inferno.

“Fitness Inferno is supposed to be different. There are already existing health clubs in town, but we don’t want to be like them,” Wright said. “When Rob approached me about opening up Fitness Inferno, I told him I wanted it to be different.

It’s a full-service facility, appealing to all different types of people.”

The second owner, Daughtry has lived in Jones County his entire life and enjoys the town.

“The small-town flavor allows you to do things you can’t do in a big city. You build up relationships with people here. It’s such a great family environment,” Daughtry said.

Fitness Inferno is a multi-purpose gym with a power section, cardio section, a general fitness area, a spin room for spin classes, tanning and a group strength training area. There is also a sauna.

“Eddie and I have been friends for many years, and I wanted to open up a health club with someone.

I’ve had four health clubs, and my first opened in 1998,” Daughtry said. “Over that time, I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t. Eddie and I really complement each other since he brings to the table things I’m not good at and vice versa.”

Basic membership starts at $29 per month, and there is a 12 month commitment. There are also other membership options for people to check out.

“The community was missing that personal service.

There are other facilities available here, but our design is completely different. We are going to give you the equipment, but we are also going
