Edith Imogene “Jean” Darsey, 81, of Lakeside Drive, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at her residence. The family greeted friends from 10:00am-11:00am, Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, at Gray Church of God.
Funeral services followed at 11:00am, in the church sanctuary with Rev. Greg Banks, Rev. Georgia Bridges and Mr. Clint Darsey officiating. Burial was at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray.
Mrs. Darsey was born Feb. 26, 1941, in Chester, Georgia and had lived in the middle Georgia area most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Adron Peacock and Nancy Bacon Peacock.
Mrs. Darsey was retired from Kroger with twenty- two years of service

and also restored antique furniture. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Louis Peacock, Charles Peacock, BJ Peacock, Carl Peacock and Hazel Barton.
Mrs. Darsey is survived by her husband of sixtyfive years: Clint Darsey, Sr.; children: Clint Darsey, Jr. (Suzanne), Jimmy Darsey and Tracy Waters (Keith); grandchildren: Ashley White, Brittney Martin, Justin Waters, Jacob Waters, Darsey Waters and Dylan Waters; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Georgia Bridges and Diane Brown and a brother: Vernon Peacock.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gray Church of God in Mrs. Darsey’s Memory, Post Office Box 2002, Gray, Georgia 31032.
