JCHS hires Alligood as athletic director

    Last August at Mercer University's Five Star Stadium, Chad Alligood was on the opposing sideline against Jones County in the Macon Touchdown Club Kickoff Classic as the head football coach of Northside High School of Warner Robins.

    Now, he'll be donning the purple and gold of Jones County High School as the school's new athletic director, a hire that the school announced via social media on Tuesday evening.

    The move comes less than two days after Alligood announced his resignation as head coach of the Eagles on Twitter.

    His new tenure in the athletics director space peppers in some more Northside bloodlines into the Greyhounds athletic program, whose coaches with ties to the Eagles include head football coach Mike Chastain and assistant football and basketball coach Jake Chastain, both NHS graduates.
