Lay was arrested Oct. 18 following Greene’s Oct. 4 shooting and charged with possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.

The charge was escalated to murder with Greene’s Nov. 4 death.

The Clerk of the Courts Office and the Probate Court were also inspected by jury members and were found to be in order and well run.
