Jesse Thomas Handley, 34, of Gray, GA, passed away on September 21, 2023, in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on November 8, 1988, in Macon, GA. Jesse is survived by his daughters, Blakelee Ann Handley and Avery Elaine Handley, his parents, Steve and Mandy Handley, his sister, Morgan Sanders, his brother, Will Moore, his maternal grandmother, Margaret Ann Thornton, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and close friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gena Beck Johnson, his maternal grandfather, William Ed Thornton, and his paternal grandparents, Marvin C. and Betty Sue Treadway, as well as his cousins, Josh Kozee and Josh Crutchfield.
Jesse was a very analytical, deep-thinking, and super intellectual person.
He fought a long and hard battle with his personal struggles. He loved music, reading, and a multitude of outdoor activities. Jesse’s passion for life was evident in his various hobbies.
A Memorial Service was held at 6 p.m. on September 26 at Bradley Nov. 8, 1988 - Sept. 21, 2023
Baptist Church in Gray, GA. Prior to the service, the family hosted a visitation for friends and family beginning at 5 p.m. at the church.
