The region cross country championships will remain in Jones County. The Greyhounds and Lady Greyhounds repeated as region champions on Saturday morning, getting the best of the competition at the region meet in Locust Grove. JCHS swept both of Saturday's JV races as well.
The Lady Greyhounds dominated, taking four of the top five finishing spots with the Greyhounds being up to the challenge posed by Union Grove, placing four runners within the top eight which was enough to edge the Wolverines for the region title.
