Patrick “P.J.” Jerome O’Hanlon Jr., 78, passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023. The family greeted friends Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jim Johnson officiated.
A Celebration of Life was held at 3:00 p.m. Burial was held at 12:30 for family only.
The family requests donations be made to the Marine Corps League, Middle Georgia DET 970, P.O. Box 4723, Macon, GA 31213 to benefit Toys for Tots.
Mr. O’Hanlon was a lifelong resident of Macon, Georgia and the son of the late Patrick O’Hanlon Sr. and Billie Waddell O’Hanlon. He was a graduate of A.R. Willingham Sr. High School. Mr. O’Hanlon served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a police officer for the City of Macon Police Department for 36 years and was currently a Bailiff at Bibb County Courthouse. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, June O’Hanlon; son, Patrick J. O’Hanlon III (Debbie); granddaughter, Anna Rose O’Hanlon; stepchildren, Coby R.
Dixon Jr. (Valerie) and Kelly D. Greene (Brooks); step grandchildren, Caroline, Madelyn, and Logan; sisters, Pat Degross and Linda Harwell. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda O’Hanlon.
