Alice Lucia Collins Strozier of Brooklet, GA, passed away peacefully Monday night, Feb. 12, 2024, surrounded by her caregivers, loving grandson and his family.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1:00 p.m. with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the service at Elam Baptist Church Gray, GA. The Rev. Kenneth Gary Thomas officiated.
Interment followed at the Green Roberts Cemetery on Lite-N-Tie Road.
Mrs. Strozier was born in Macon, GA to the late Lynwood G.
Collins, Sr., and Josie Christiana Jones Collins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cobb “Bobby” Strozier, of Jones County; daughter, Josie Christiana “Christi” Webb of Jones County; son-in-law, James Franklin Webb of Jones County; brother, Lynwood G. Collins, Jr, of St. Simons Island, GA.
She is survived by a daughter, Robby Lynne Strozier (spouse Linda Kay) of Troutdale, Oregon; grandson, William Robert Webb (spouse Christine) of Brooklet, GA; and their children, great granddaughters, Caitlyn Josie Webb and Cady Jeanne Webb of Brooklet, GA; sister, Carolyn Kennedy Dominy of Macon, GA and several nieces and nephews.
She grew up in the Cross Keys area of Macon, GA, attended Alexander III grammar school, Lanier Jr. High School for Girls and A.
L. Miller Senior High School for Girls. She was a former member of Cross Keys Baptist Church, Macon, GA and a current member of Elam Baptist Church, Gray, GA. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Elam Baptist Church, 203 Elam Church Road, Gray, GA 31032 or to a charity of their choice.
The family would like to thank her Doctor, Glen Dasher, caregivers, Brenda Jackson, Mary Hobbs, Mony Jenkins and Jean Brackett as well as the nurses and staff at Ogeechee Area Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Strozier during her final years and days.
Also, to those friends and family members who have been faithful with their thoughts and visits to Mrs. Strozier, we cannot express the gratitude and comfort you brought her and her family.
