Mr. Richard “Rick” Earnest Barron, 74, of Jones County, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Memorial services will be at Hart’s Jones County Chapel, Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., with the Reverend Doctor Greg Thompson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
An avid fisherman and hunter, Richard was a real outdoorsman. He was a mechanic by trade, but he truly enjoyed working on cars. More than anything, though, he loved spending time with his grandkids.
Richard is preceded in death by his grandsons, Byran and Cory Cranmore.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Barron; children, Tonya Stuckey, Richard Eric Barron (Susan), John Yancy “J.Y.” Barron (Renee), Heather Nichole Albrycht (Josh), James Roland Barron; grandchildren, Dustin Simkins, Brianna Simkins, Connor Owen Barron, Riley Kate Barron, Briana, Keelie, Brooke, and Daniel Gossett, Ansley Barron, Hera Barron, and Nick and Kyndall Albrycht; several great-grandchildren; and brother, John Walter Barron.
