Main Street Fall Festival provides fun downtown

Main Street Gray Director Ashley Roberson celebrated the Sept. 21 Main Street Gray Fall Festival in a weekend Facebook post.

Roberson said the First Main Street Gray Fall Festival was incredible, minus the heat.

“A huge thank you to all of the amazing business owners who truly made this happen,” she said.

Roberson listed the businesses that participated beginning with Allure Aesthetics of Gray that had people playing pickleball and cornhole all day. She said they also put together the hay maze that wouldn’t have happened without Gray Feed and Seed. The director said Gray Feed and Seed also provided the hayride.

She said Terrace on Madison built and ran the Axe Throwing station, and Garrett Cox Music played at their venue later while The Lazy Frog took over their bar.

The success of the day appeared to be due to a team effort. She said Bloom Nutrition coordinated the FFA lambs, and Lindsey Rickman was there with her pumpkins.

Cone Crazy on Main served ice cream, cotton candy and candy apples all day, and Ambi Rae Boutique bobbed for apples and had permanent jewelry and trucker hats.

Bass Trading Company had permanent jewelry, a hat bar, and Old Clinton Mercantile.

Chairs on Main hosted a beard contest, while Treasures by the Tracks served up a delicious lunch.

Roberson said LKK Clicks and Pics & Peaceful Parenting hosted a class and had photo ops set up. Livia Jaymes had a cupcake walk for kids.

Food vendors were Sincerity Lodge, Agave Azul, Sawmill Restaurant, Hibachi on Wheels, SnoBiz of GA, Jane’s Food Truck, Graze by Ashley, Figtree Catering, Bent Axle Neighborhood Grille, and Ava Kate’s Confections served up delicious goodies.

Gray Community Church painted pumpkins.

Roberson said money was raised for Jones County High School Baseball, Wresting, and Lady Hounds Basketball in the dunking booth.

“A special thank you to everyone who made it happen,” she said.
