Mr. Marshall “Coon” Shephard Flewellyn, 89, of Macon, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Funeral services were at Immanuel Baptist Church, Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2:00PM, with the Reverend Jeff Duncan officiating. The family greeted friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment at Stone Creek Baptist Church followed the service.
Marshall was born in Macon to the late James Edwin Flewellyn and Una Irene Hudson Flewellyn.
He was married July 19, 1958, to Ms. Joyce Lord.
Marshall retired from the Keebler Company after a forty-four-year career.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of the Lions Club of Jones County. Marshall was a faithful Christian and a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Marshall is preceded in death by his brothers; James “T” Franklin Flewellyn, Wesley “Baby” Havis Flewellyn, and Donald “Pap” Hudson Flewellyn. Marshall is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Flewellyn; daughters, Marsha Baisden (John) of Gordon, Georgia and Coanna Montgomery (Tom) of Savannah, Georgia; five grandchildren, Josh Crumbley (Kelly) of Macon, Cheyenne Duffy (Colin) of Knoxville, Tennessee; Amber Montgomery (Todd) of Mableton, Georgia; Mark Montgomery of Commerce City, Colorado; Ryan Montgomery of Denver, Colorado; seven great-grandchildren, Vince Crumbley, Maggie Crumbley, Turner Duffy, Jules Duffy, Richard Deas, Zander Jeffcoat, and Axel Jeffcoat; brother, Joseph “Jody” Flewellyn of Macon; sister, Cande Randall of Savannah; and sister, Kathleen Owen of Macon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 129 Yukon Road, Macon, GA 31217.
