It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Ralph Bell, Jr., age 71, of Jones County, Georgia, who departed this life on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Born May 9, 1953, in Macon, Georgia, Johnny lived a life full of love, laughter, and unyielding devotion to his family, friends, and faith.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory, 4378 Gray Highway, Gray, Georgia.

Johnny was a proud member of Greenwood Baptist Church and a dedicated brother of Sincerity Masonic Lodge.
His life was a testament to the values he held dear: loyalty, integrity, and a deep love for those around him.
Johnny’s passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. An avid sports enthusiast, he cheered fervently for the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. His love for football and baseball was infectious, and he took special pride in passing this passion on to his family. Whether fishing on a quiet afternoon, crafting something with his hands, or sharing a story that would bring laughter to all, Johnny found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments.
He was the beloved husband of 24 years to Dale Bell, who stood by his side as his rock and partner. Johnny’s legacy lives on through his children: Jay (Jessica) Bell, Josh Tribble, and Cody Tribble; his sister, Beverly Orr; sister-in-law, Debra Smith; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his cherished pets, Ruby and Sophie. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, John Ralph “Cotton” Bell, Sr. and Betty Jean Dunn Bell, and his brother, Bill Smith.
Active pallbearers include Ronnie Thibodeaux, Steve Hester, Eric Watson, David Morris, Seth Watson, Charlie Stanley, and Zach Ford.
Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Carson and Buddy Parker, dear friends who shared in many of Johnny’s adventures and memories.
