Gary Lamar Griffin Sr., age 69, of Gordon, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Lynn Haven Nursing Home. He was born on January 18, 1956, in Ocilla, Georgia.
Lamar was a hardworking and skilled plumber, dedicating his career to Steve Stone Plumbing, Pro-Tech Plumbing, and Ricky Heath Plumbing. Outside of work, he found joy in fishing and had a deep love for movies, especially westerns and drive-in theaters. He was known for his kindness, humor, intelligence, and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand. Wise and friendly, Lamar never met a stranger and was cherished by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Patsy Ann Hall Griffin; his children, Gary Lamar (Shannon) Griffin Jr. and Christopher Lamar Griffin; his siblings, Ronnie (Carol) Griffin, Wanda Gail Johnson, and Roger Christopher Briscoe; and his treasured pets, B.B. and Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bessie Griffin; his brother, Kelly Lee Briscoe; and his sister, Sue Ellen Briscoe Elliott.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
