Jeane Roberts Weeks died at her home on March 26, 2025. Jeane was born on September 20, 1932, in Franklin County, AL, but grew up in Fitzgerald, GA.
Preceding Jeane in death were her parents, L. G. and Bea Arthur Roberts; her brothers, Arlis Roberts and Laneair (Sonny) Roberts; and the father of her sons, J. E.
Weeks, Macon, GA.
Her memory will be treasured by her beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Jim E. Weeks, Jr. and Kim Allison Weeks, Jeffrey G.
Weeks and Tami Sheppard Weeks; her much loved grandchildren, Sam (Romany) Weeks, of Alabama, Amber (Mandi) Weeks, Ethan (Haley) Weeks, Daniel Weeks, Jessica Weeks, and Hunter (Harley) Weeks of Macon and Gray, GA; and great-grandchildren, Brenden, Lucas, Kason, S. J., Lorelei, Riley, and Braelyn. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews whom she loved, Valerie, Cindy, Ashley, Wade, Alan, Lucy, and Bonnie. She also leaves fond, fun memories with many special friends, especially Lawanna, Kyle, June and Sue.
Jeane was in banking most of her life with First State Bank of Fitzgerald, GA; Bank of Albany; GA First National Bank (now SunTrust); and Security Bank (State Bank & Trust) of Macon, retiring at the end of 2014. She loved guiding groups of travelers all over the world for many years and was well traveled, but her very favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, spending time at any beach, working her crossword puzzles and reading hundreds of books each year as she was an avid reader.
Jeane was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church, Gray, GA.
A private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
