Feb. 15, 1970 - Dec. 26, 2024
Andrew William “Andy” Caldwell, 54, of Jones County, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at a local hospital, surrounded by those he loved most.
Born on February 15, 1970, in Atlanta, Georgia, Andy’s life was a mosaic of joy, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family, friends, and all things that brought him happiness.
Andy’s spirit was as bold and unyielding as his beloved Georgia Bulldogs, and his heart was as boundless as the great outdoors he cherished.
Whether fishing under a blue sky, cheering in red and black on a Saturday, or singing to the timeless beat’s of 80s music, Andy found beauty in life’s simple yet profound moments. He was a man of many loves: a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and a big joker whose laughter echoed like a warm embrace. He had an uncanny ability to light up a room and a natural instinct to protect those he held dear.
Andy leaves behind a legacy of love in his sons; Andrew Caldwell and Tyler Caldwell, and his granddaughter; Sawyer Caldwell, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. He is also survived by his sisters; Donna Roberts (Mike) and their children, Billy Densmore (Amanda) and Chelsea Greene (Willis), Tricia Brewer (Kevin) and their children, Faith Anders (Kyle), Gracie Knott, and Alyson Brewer; great-niece; Macie Anders, and his stepfather, Rev.
Donald Hendrix. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wayne Caldwell Sr. and Cheryl Jean Hendrix; his brother, Joseph Wayne Caldwell; and his nephew, Justin Wayne Caldwell.
Though his time with us feels far too brief, Andy’s impact is everlasting. His memory will forever be celebrated in the laughter shared, the love extended, and the moments lived fully in his honor.
Gray Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Caldwell family during this time of loss. Online condolences and fond memories may be shared at graymemorialchapel. com.
Rest easy, Andy, in fields of green and skies of gold.
Your love and laughter remain eternal.
