Billie Dell Crumpler Floyd

Billie Dell Crumpler Floyd passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Feb. 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving children. A funeral service was held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, 11:00 AM at Greenwood Baptist Church with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Kim Washburn and Chaplain Lisa Johnson officiated. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery.

Billie Dell was born on Jan. 25, 1930 in Cochran, Georgia to the late Ollie F. Crumpler Sr., and Zola Munn Crumpler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Floyd Sr., siblings, Mary Alyce Tillette, Samuel Crumpler, Ollie F. Crumpler Jr., Virginia Crumpler Ross, and a great grandson, Cody Floyd.

She was a retired bank teller with C&S National Bank, Macon, Georgia.

She was a faithful member of the Greenwood Baptist Church, the Sunshine Girls and Macon Women’s Bowling Association. Billie Dell’s first love was her husband Frank Floyd and devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She loved her best friend, Virginia Bodwell. Her passion was gospel music, watching her old TV shows and recently rediscovered Adam 12 and Emergency. The family requested that those who were able to attend from the Sunshine Girls sit together as a group during the service.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her children; Lawrence Floyd and his children Chad and Brandi (Clinton) Spencer, Vickie (Joe) Patterson and their children Travis and Blake, Charles F. Floyd Jr., and his children; Annie Smith and Charlie Floyd, great grandchildren, Zack Stacy, Olivia Spencer, Ayden Burnett, Kyra Burnett, Jade Burnett, Nora Burnett, Blane Price, great great grandchild Braelynn Floyd, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or you may make a donation to Hospice Care Options, 486 New St.

The family would like to thank Megan Kelly and Lisa Johnson and the wonderful staff of Hospice Care Options for their loving care they gave to their mother. To those friends who have been faithful to visit and love our mother, we cannot express the gratitude and comfort you brought her and our family.
