Bobby Ray Daniels passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Atrium Health Navicent Macon, Georgia surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gray Memorial with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Frank Morris will officiate.
Bobby was born to the late Emmitt Clyde Daniels and Nadine Jones on July 21, 1950, in Forsyth, Georgia. He was also preceded in death by his brothers; Benny Daniels, James C. Daniels, sisters; Martha Harrington, Louvenia Daniels, son; John Ramsey Daniels, grandson; Kolton John McNeal, brothers- in-law; Calvin Avant, Buddy Avant, Ronnie Harrington, Homer Parker, and Bernard Henderson, sisters-in-law; Anne Avant, Sue Clifford, and Lois Avant, and good friend Phillip Parker.
He served his country proudly as a United States Marine. Bobby retired from Warner Robins Air Force base with thirty-five years of service. He was a member of a team of technicians that was instrumental in designing an X-Ray robot that could X-Ray a whole airplane.

he could. He was an avid University of Georgia fan but learned to support the Atlanta Braves because Christine loved baseball.
An active member of the Jones County Lions Club devoting his time collecting eyeglasses to sustain the mission they are so well known for and supporting their annual fair. Unselfish with his time, Bobby was always available to his family and friends whenever they needed him. He never met a stranger, and loaned Christine’s new car to a family that was broke down with car trouble so they wouldn’t miss a UGA football game. In later life, he made trips back to Vietnam to assist with the location and retrieval of Missing in Action comrades. Bobby was a man’s man which made him a jack of all trades and master as well. He could fix, repair, and overcome any obstacle placed before him if he made his mind up to it. But most of all, Bobby was a devoted loving husband to Christine, father figure, and doting grandfather to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bobby’s memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of forty four years, Christine Avant Daniels, son; Wayne Lee McNeal, sister; Lillian Parker, grandchildren; Kendall (Christina) McNeal, Kaylee (Alex) McNeal-Martin, sisters-in-law; Frances Pope, and Mary Daniels, great-grandchildren; Ellee, Maci, Mia, Davey, Rylan, Emery, Torre, and Ocie, close friends; Terrell (Shirley) Fulford, Ferris (Judy) Webb and Cindy Martin, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
