Charles (Charlie) Olen Barr passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Fairview Park Hospital Dublin, Georgia surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service for Charlie was held Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in the chapel of Gray Memorial at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Greg Thompson officiated.
Charlie was born on May 22, 1943, to the late Joe Will and Mable Barr.
He also was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Will Barr.
Charlie retired from Georgia Power Company after thirty-three years of service as a maintenance May 22, 1943 - March 15, 2024
supervisor. He was honest, hardworking, generous, wise and kind. He loved to fish, boat ride and jet ski.
He had a small 14-year-old Maltese he loved, and she loved him.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of thirty-three years Patsie Barr. He was a good Father to Chuck, Bridgett, Evangeline, Dewayne, MiLinda, and Jeff. A loving Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and loving brother to Margaret Hester and Sue Jeffreys.
