Charles Gordon Kizziah, age 85, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Services were held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 3 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Ard officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Kizziah was born in Northport, Alabama on May 22, 1940, to the late Charles Custus Kizziah and Christine Reece Kizziah. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated a drywall construction company, Associated Interior Construction in Tremont, IL. Mr. Kizziah was in the construction trade from 1962-2004.
He has made his home in Jones County, GA for the past 22 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Kizziah and Douglas Kizziah.
He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Kizziah of Jones County, a daughter Kim Kneller (Todd) of Normal, IL, a son Eric Kizziah of Morton, IL, a sister Nan McGonagle of Arizona, four grandchildren Sydney Kneller, Ryan Kneller, Zachary Kneller (My’Anna) and Olivia Cowen, and a great-grandchild Eden Cowen.
The family received friends Sunday from 11:30 until 12:30 p.m. at the church.
Couey Reece Stanley Funeral Home of Gordon has charge of arrangements.
