Connie Fay Meeks, 80, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023. A Celebration of her life was held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park.
The family greeted friends beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Burial followed in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
Connie was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Herschell Morris Chapman, Sr., and Mary Brake Chapman, and was preceded in death by her siblings, Herschell M. Chapman, Jr., and Jimmy Chapman. She was a long-time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and then Greenwood Baptist Church. Connie was also a member of the Moose Club and the Ladies of the Shrine. For many years she worked with Security Life Insurance and then with the Bibb County Health Department.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Tommy Meeks; son, Steve Horne (Kelly), daughter, Darlene Moore (Gerry); grandchildren, Stephen Wayne Horne, Jr. (Kodie), Kristen Humphrey (Mark), Amanda Horne, Meg Moore, and Trey Moore; five great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Louise Chapman, Deborah Chapman, and Doretha Garrett.
