James Daulphin Middlebrooks, Jr, a resident of Panama City Beach, Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Bonifay Nursing Home, in Bonifay, Florida. A celebration of his life was held at St Thomas By the Sea Episcopal on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Jim was born April 26, 1940, in Macon, GA to the late James Daulphin, Sr. and Ruth Roberta Middlebrooks.
Jim was a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in technology and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Jim was a lover of the beach, college football, Southern cooking and good Scotch. He loved playing golf and was an Atlanta Braves fan.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Middlebrooks; son, James (Jay) D.
Middlebrooks, III (Melinda) of Sunman, Indiana; daughter, Elizabeth Woodard, Dothan, Ala; grandchildren, Brian Patrick Golden, Dothan and Melissa Lynn Middlebrooks of Chicago, Ill.
