Funeral services for Janet Lois Milton, age 85, were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Alabama.
Mrs. Milton was born on August 18, 1939, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She lived in Prattville, Alabama before moving to Laurens County 36 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Dewitt Johnson and Ethel E.
Lee; her husband, Earl Preston Milton and two sons, Donald Harker and Jimmy Harker. Mrs.
Milton passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at her residence.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debra L.
Webb (Andy) of Adrian and Renea Milton Hughes of Cobb; four sons, Michael K. Milton (Leverne) of Soperton, Kevin W. Milton (Teresa) of Gray; Lester K. Harker (Deborah) of Toms River, NJ and Kenneth E.
Milton (Julie) of Sylvester; brother, Harold Johnson; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Georgia Sheriffs Association.
