Johnny Taylor Allen Jr. passed away, Jan.

14, 2026, at Pine Pointe Hospice surrounded by his loving daughters. A Memorial Service to honor Johnny was held Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Mike Fuller officiated. Private interment followed for family only at Gray Memorial Gardens.

Johnny was born in Macon, GA on Sept. 29, 1946, to the late Johnny Taylor Sr., and Ann Baskett Allen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Nordyke.

Johnny was retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company with over thirty years of service. He had many passions in life, coaching boys’ baseball, girls’ softball and especially his 1955 Chevrolet that he restored. He will always be remembered as Coach Johnny. He lived life to the fullest always finding the comedy which made everyone laugh. He was the best Pa to his grandchild and great-grandchildren. An avid Georgia Bulldog fan and Atlanta Braves.

Johnny will forever be remembered by those who loved him most for his generosity, selfless, loving, devoted, and humble spirit that will live on as a legacy. He is survived by his daughters, Debra (Adam) Conner and their children, Brittany (Jimmie) Wood, Brooke (Colby) Hobgood, Brandi (Christian) Foshee, and Brylee (Connor) Martin, Deanna (Kevin) Terrell and their children; Taylor Tribble, Buddy Terrell, Travis (Ciera) Terrell; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
