JT Woodard, Sr., age 86, of Gray, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Funeral service for JT Woodard, Sr. were conducted Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Milledgeville. Interment was private. The family received friends at the Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour.
A native of Dublin, JT was born on February 24, 1937, to the late Tommie Woodard and the late Daisy Franks Woodard. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Jeanette Harrison Woodard, by his brothers, JL Woodard and Thomas Woodard, Jr., by a sister, Rosie Woodard Landrum, and by a stepson, Greg Howell.
JT has lived in Jones County since 1954. He retired from the Maintenance Department of Central State Hospital. He was a Farmer, Rancher, and Mechanic, and he was the co-owner/operator of Woodard Tractor and Equipment in Jones County. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
JT is survived by his wife, Francis Dukes Woodard, his sons, JT Woodard, Jr., Jordan (Harriet) Woodard, and Mark (Mona) Woodard; his daughter, Brenda Woodard; his step-son, Scott Dukes; his sister, Patsy Howard; his grandchildren, Christie Moore, Heather Woodard, Jacob Woodard, and Mackenzie Woodard; 4 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that Memorial Contributions be made to the American Diabetes, Association, Service Center, P.O.
