Judy T. Gordy, 75, of Gray, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones, as she embarked on her journey to be with her Lord. She was born on January 25, 1949, in Washington County, GA, and lived a life filled with faith, love, and compassion. A visitation was held at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Beverly McClaren, took place at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.

Judy was laid to rest at Cedar Ridge Cemetery.

Judy was a woman of unwavering faith, known for her creativity, kindness, and loving nature.

She dedicated her life to sharing the love of God and uplifting others, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her capacity for love knew no bounds, and she always put God first in everything she did, cherishing each moment and making beautiful memories along the way. Judy was a dedicated employee of the Jones County Probate Court, retiring as Senior Clerk after 18 years of service. A proud member of New Hope Worship Center in Milledgeville, Judy was a graduate of Rhema Bible College and an active member of the Rhema Alumni Association. She found joy in painting with Val Elliott, exploring new destinations through travel, and spending quality time with her beloved family.

Judy’s talents extended to the kitchen, where she delighted in cooking meals that brought joy to those around her.

Judy will be deeply missed by her daughter, Lisa (Clay) Waldrop; grandson, Andy (Claudia) Waldrop; great-grandchildren, Cruise (Meredith) Waldrop, Matt Waldrop, Genesis Waldrop, Danissa Waldrop, and Teddy Waldrop; great-greatgranddaughter, Sage Waldrop; siblings, Rick (Sherry) Tanner and Shirley (Bruce) Parker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Ivey and Laura Ruth Bender Tanner; her beloved husband, Ricky Gentry Gordy; siblings, Gaynell Rutha Hedgepeth, Patricia Ann Peacock, Tim Tanner, and Jim Parrish; and sister-in-law, Arlene Parrish.
