Marsha Elaine Amerson Hubbard, 77, of Gray, Georgia, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Hubbard was born Aug. 4, 1948, in Macon and lived most of her life in Jones County. She was a devoted wife to her late husband of 52 years, Roy C. Hubbard Sr. and raised six children to be hardworking, independent and strong-willed individuals who in turn raised their children to be like minded. She was also the secretary for her husband’s business, Roy Hubbard Construction, LLC. In her spare time, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word finds, painting crafts and was an avid reader.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy C.
Hubbard Sr.; her daughter, Patricia Elaine Hubbard; her granddaughter, Angel Faith Tanner; her parents, William Melton Amerson Sr. and Willie B. Hensley Amerson; her sister, Mary Freeman; her brother, William “Billy” Melton Amerson Jr. and her fur baby, Little Bit.
Mrs. Hubbard is survived by her three sons, Roy C. Hubbard Jr., William Hubbard and Steven Hubbard Sr. (Mandy); three daughters, Marsha Rowland, Linda Hubbard and Kelli Tanner (Ray); her sisters, Shirley Wilday, Kathy Griffin (Ricky) and Marilyn Hubbard as well as 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to convey their heartfelt gratitude to the Memory Care Team at Fellowship at Meriwether, Heartland Hospice and her Home Health Caregiver Mrs.
Mary. Visitation with the family was at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, from 6-7 p.m. with Heather Strickland officiating. A memorial service followed immediately thereafter at 7 p.m.
