Martha (Carol) Bryan of Jones County passed away Friday evening, March 31, 2023, at Harbor Grace Hospice, Atlanta, Georgia after a brief illness. Services were held Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation for family and friends that followed at 1:00 p.m., at Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial followed at 4:00 p.m., Westview Cemetery, Soperton, Georgia. Rev.
John Haney officiated.
Carol was born on Jan. 29, 1946, in Dublin, Georgia to the late Ira F. Maddox. Preceded in death also by her husband Gerald Thomas Bryan, grandparents, Claude Sanders, Leland Sanders and faithful companion Babe.
She was a member of the Gray Chapter # 555, Order of The Eastern Star. Carol was employed by Robinson-Humphrey, Atlanta, Georgia for twenty years. She was the owner of A to Z wholesale business contracting for the United States Government. Carol was a faithful member of Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church and attended as long as her health permitted. She loved her Jan. 29, 1946 - March 31, 2023

Carol is survived by her loving mother, Ruth S.
Maddox; brother, Wayne I. Maddox (Cola); brother in-law, Alan Bryan (Mary), step-daughter; Allison Gatlin (Ryan), granddaughter; Ella Van Strickland , Aunt; Eunice Babb, cousin; Sharon Amor (Rick).
