Ms. Patricia “Lorine” Gantt, 40, of Jones County, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023. Funeral services were at New Haven Baptist Church in Gordon, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00AM, with the Reverend Sam Loyd officiating. The family greeted friends one hour prior to the service. Immediately following the funeral service, lunch was served in the fellowship hall at the church. Afterwards, the family gathered at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray for the burial.
Lorine graduated from Jones County High School, and later earned an Associate degree in Information Technology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Georgia Military College. She was a devout Christian woman and a faithful member of New Haven Baptist Church.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and helping people. She often took meals to those in need. She loved her Yorkies! Lorine was able to shine her light on this world but only for a short time, but she left her impressions forever.
Lorine is preceded in death by grandparents, Elizabeth “Betty” Gantt and Robert Ray Nesselrotte. She is survived by her father and mother, John Michael Gantt and Robin Whitney Gantt; brother, Michael E. Gantt; and grandmother, Patricia Josey, all of Jones County; and grandfather, Randy Whitney (Gemy Lou) of Oxford, Georgia.
