Robert Arthur Wharton, age 59, of Jones County, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024. Born on August 22, 1965, in Miami, Florida, Robert was a man of kindness, generosity, and a love for life’s simple pleasures.
Robert cherished his children and had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his beloved dogs, with his last companion being Dojo.
A history enthusiast, he found joy in learning about World War I and World War II, and his passion for music brought him countless moments of peace and happiness.
Those who knew him remember his big heart, selfless spirit, and the goodness that defined his character.
He is survived by his mother, Helen S. Wharton; his children, Lyndsay Wharton and Travis Ferris; his siblings, Elaine Wharton, Lesley (Pat) Kirby, and Trey Wharton; his nephew, Penn Kirby; his niece, Averi Wharton; and his four beloved grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Wharton.
