Rosa Annelle Tribble, a beloved member of the Gray community, passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born on April 16, 1927, and lived a life filled with love, faith, and kindness. Rosa’s memory was cherished during visitation at Plentitude Baptist Church on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a service officiated by Rev.
Tommy Freeman and Rev.
Danny Mundy. She was laid to rest at the Gordon Family Cemetery in Gray, Georgia.
Rosa was known for her loving and caring nature.
She deeply cherished her family, enjoyed the beauty of flowers, and had a special fondness for birds.
Her dedication to her church was unwavering, even when unable to attend in person, she would faithfully watch services on TV.
Rosa found joy in fishing, cheering for the Braves Baseball team, and fellowshipping at Dairy Queen.
She was the proud owner of Tribble’s Grocery Store for many years and was a dedicated member of Plentitude Baptist Church.
Rosa leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She is survived by her sister, Sandra (Don) Rooks; children, Rose Mary (James Alfred) Rowland, Michael (Kay) Tribble, Emory Tribble; son-in-law, Clovers Etheridge; her grandchildren, Angel Crosby, Misty Crosby, Christal Bishop, Jamie Tribble, Jill Woodson, Emily Tribble, Natalie Tribble, Joshua Tribble, and Cody Tribble, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Jean Gordon and Jane Gordon; her longtime friends, Patsy Childs and Sue Broach; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Byron Tribble, Sr.; her parents, John Dawson Gordon, Sr. and Clara Belle Polk Gordon; her son, Cecil Byron Tribble, Jr.; her special daughter, Lisa Etheridge; her grandchild, Brian Crosby, her brothers, JD Gordon, Jr., and John E. Gordon; her sister, Lillie Gordon Hooten, and her special heart sister, Georgieanna Malone.
