Sybil Lee Vinson was born on July 29, 1954, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
She joined her husband Larry Vinson on February 23, 2025, in Macon, Georgia, surrounded by her loved ones. Sybil has been a resident of Gray, Georgia for the past several years but an Okeechobee, Florida resident most of her life.
Throughout her life, Sybil enjoyed spending precious moments with her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Sybil’s kindness and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be cherished by all whom were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and caring will continue to inspire us as we navigate through this difficult time. Her enduring love will forever remain in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Vinson; her mother, Marie Mixon; her father, Roe Mixon; her sister, Patricia Doty; and grandson, Cody Gorham.
She is survived by her brothers, Gerry (Dorinda) Mixon and Ray Worley; her sons, Michael (Julie) Vinson of Okeechobee, FL, Timothy (Amanda) Vinson of Macon, GA, and James (Deanna) Vinson of Gray, GA; her grandchildren, April (Roy) Vinson of Okeechobee, FL, Kathrine (Brett) Vinson of Okeechobee, FL, Michael (Sierra) Vinson of Okeechobee, FL, Brooke (John Michael) of Gray, GA, Casie Vinson of Macon, GA, Shawn Vinson of Macon, GA, Tristan (Garrett) of Grafton, IL, Cheyenne (Brett) Vinson of Gray, GA, Logan Vinson of Macon, GA, and Jenaya Cason of Eastman, GA.
She has 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family appreciates all the love and support from all of our family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held later in Okeechobee, FL. We will let everyone know when the date is set.
