Vivian Sue Smith McGowan

MACON – Vivian Sue Smith McGowan, 75, of East Colonial Dr., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at her residence.

Services were held Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at 3:00PM at Real Life Church in Macon.

Rev. John McGowan and Pastor Bo Turner officiated.

Mrs. McGowan was born in Bessemer, AL to the late Edgar Smith and Mamie Miller Smith. Mrs. McGowan is also preceded in death by her husband John Walter McGowan and her sisterin- law Pam Smith. She was a member of Real Life Church, where she loved to play the piano and sing. Her faith and deep love for her Savior, her children and grandchildren are what held her together. Her family knows that she is happy to be with her Savior and will be missed by so many.

Survivors include her children, Johnny (Lisa) McGowan of Gray, Nicole (Stephen) Boothe of Gray, and Laura Lee (Dallas) Dunbar of Dry Branch.

Brothers. Harvey (Nora) Smith, and Tommy Smith. Grandchildren, Jessica (Leroy) Reliford, Hannah (Jake) Worsham, Erica (Joe John) Mathis, Samantha (Chris) Napier, Morgan (Anthony) McGowan, Wyatt Garnto, Lane Dunbar, Prescilla Dunbar, Bo Dunbar, and Tucker Dunbar; 14 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren.

The family received friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM before the service in the church.
