Dear editor: A large crowd of men, women and children attended the 2022 Cry Out America service. Everyone was blessed by all that took place during our time together.
I would like to recognize them for their part in making this event such a huge success.
I thank the many businesses and churches for helping to promote our event by allowing us to post flyers; The Jones County News for printing an article about our event; Exchange Bank, Morris Bank and Magnolia State Bank, for putting this event up in lights for all to see; all who shared the emails and FB posts; George Sheffield, and son, for leading worship; the ones who lead prayer during the service; God’s Grace Baptist Church for the delicious goodies; each and everyone who attended; and Team KBOMIN for their diligent work toward this event.
A very special thank you to the First Responders & Military who attended. You are very much appreciated, and worthy of recognition and honor. Handcrafted patriotic bookmarks were given to these men and women as a token of our appreciation.
The Lord spoke last night through the prayers for our nation, concerning our role in taking America back from the attacks the enemy has launched. The devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly.
As Christ’s representatives, we are to be bold in declaring God’s Word over America, beginning with our community and state. His Word holds the instructions on how to accomplish this. A few of the scriptures that direct us in this matter are 2 Chronicles 7:14, 1 Timothy 2:1-2, Philippians 4:6-7, and James 5:16.
We must stand in the gap for this nation following the example of Nehemiah, Joel, David and so many others who sought the Lord and obeyed His instructions. We MUST persist and NOT allow ourselves to be discouraged or distracted in this battle for the heart and soul of America. Church, it’s time to go deeper and higher in prayer.
We must actively engage, every one of us, and be first responders to those who are lost and dying. We are the Body of Christ! He needs us to get more serious about the work for His kingdom.
That is the least we can do for Christ Jesus, the truest and greatest first responder. He’s not just a superhero, He’s a supernatural hero!
In Matthew 25:40, Jesus said “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
This was the verse for our first responders and military. Friends, this is the verse for you too. Be strengthened and encouraged, as you respond to the first and greatest need of all people - eternal salvation.
Somebody needs rescuing today.
