The Greyhounds' offense also got a touchdown on the ground from Bruno Hicks and one via the pass with JR Clark hauling in a five-yard score.
Jones County drew even just shy of the third quarter's midway point when Junior Holloway ran back a McDonough kickoff 99 yards to knot things at 21-21.
With Ola's loss to Stockbridge on Friday, Jones County is now one of four teams tied for second in the region with 4-2 region records. JCHS returns home Friday when it hosts ELCA.
