Gym Hounds recognize award winners

Following a season in which the Gym Hounds saw record participation, they recently honored and celebrated the past season with the presentation of awards.

For the varsity Gym Hounds, Kennedie Dyer’s honors included being recognized as the top scorer for each event during the season and was also honored for being an area qualifier on the vault as was Chloe Clark from 2021.

Receiving the Most Improved Award was Kiersten Foreman. Chloe Clark received the Gym Hound Award, which is presented to “the best example of what a Gym Hound should be – spirited, having a positive personality, being reliable, having dedication and being encouraging.”

Dyer received the Coaches Leadership Award, Mary Michael Bunn got the Coaches Desire Award and Maleya Burden picked up the Coaches Determination Award.

In JV awards, Cayl Milner received the Top JV Gym Hound Award, the Coaches Award went to Autumn Clark, Baileigh Miller received the Best All-Around Award, Kaylee Wilson received the Rising Star Award with Caroline Barfield receiving the Tough Cookie Award.

In middle school awards, Haley Ross was named Best All-Around, Addie Milner received the Coaches Award, Clara Newby was named Most Improved, Ava Spires got the Rising Star Award, the Turning Top Award went to Savannah Kent and Banks Dyer received the Tough Cookie Award.
