Jones County's Reez Hamm is moving on to the next round in his pursuit of being an Olympian.
Hamm's time of 50.92 in the 400-meter hurdles in his heat race on Thursday night was good enough to advance him to Friday night's semifinals set for 9:16 pm EST.
The top two finishers from Friday's three semifinals will move on to Sunday's final in the 400 meters that will determine who goes to the Paris Olympics.
Friday's events are tentatively set for broadcast on USA Network but may be subject due to schedule adjustments to be streamed on Peacock.
