The Lady Greyhounds will play for their second region basketball championship in a row on Friday.
Jones County disposed of Stockbridge 63-39 in Wednesday's Region 2-AAAA Tournament semifinals, advancing them to Friday's region title game at 7 p.m. against Woodland at McDonough High School.
A dominant final quarter spurred JCHS to the win as it held the Tigers to just six points. The Lady Hounds also led 34-24 at halftime. Jones County was led by 19 points from Desirae Dumas and 16 by Kamiyah Adams.
Jones County and Woodland split their in-season matchups. The Lady Greyhounds won the first meeting 62-46 and lost the second one, 62-54.
