Competition cheer showcased during Friends & Family Night

The present and the future of Jones County’s competition cheerleading program got its turn to show off in front in the same arena of performance with last week’s annual Friends & Family Night.

Volley Hounds wrap up regular season ahead of region tournament

The Volley Hounds continued to show that they can hang with the upper half of teams in their region last week. Now comes the time for all of the pieces to come together when it matters most. The region meet begins this week for Jones County on Thursday with the final round on Saturday.

Greyhounds dance over Eagles Landing

Jones County High School held its homecoming dance in the later hours on Friday night, but plenty of dancing had already taken place well before that, as the Greyhounds danced over and around Eagles Landing in a dominant 48-15 win.

Lady Hounds zeroing in on postseason positioning

The Lady Greyhounds already know that they’ll be in one of the state playoff super regionals. Their seeding for that stage of the season will be set by how the region tournament shakes out, and all of that will be determined this week.

Kentucky’s Ray Davis has Georgia’s attention

Kentucky running back Ray Davis had a career day against Florida this past Saturday, rushing for a career-high 280 yards and three touchdowns while also hauling in a catch for a score.

Beck, Bowers boost Bulldogs past Auburn
