Gray Station Middle School put the exclamation point on an unbeaten season last Wednesday at the GSMS gymnasium, controlling the final quarter to beat Lamar County 28-22 and capture a league title. “It’s a great feeling. They’ve worked hard all year. They’ve been together here since sixth grade.

The Lady Greyhounds are off to a 1-1 start to begin the regular season. A team laden with youth, including starters that before two weeks ago had never played soccer on the high school level, the Lady Hounds earned a shutout last Tuesday, blanking Northside 4-0 for a road win.

Gray Station sweeps Clifton Ridge

In a key game for both teams late in the season, the second round of the annual hardwood clash between Gray Station Middle School and Clifton Ridge took place last Tuesday at GSMS. The girls game went to Gray Station 41-19 with the boys game seeing Clifton Ridge rally late before GSMS won 33-25.
