Edmonds, Solomon collect Macon TD Club weekly honors

Two Greyhounds earned Macon Touchdown Club Player of the Week honors following Friday’s first-round win over East Forsyth. Quarterback Devin Edmonds has been named the OrthoGeorgia Back of the Week after completing 22-of-28 passes for 343 yards and four touchdowns.

When it came to last Tuesday’s season opener for the Lady Greyhounds, a defensive third quarter turned the tide in Jones County’s favor in a 60-50 win over Putnam County.Thanks in part to a slow offensive start, JCHS trailed 27-23 at halftime. All of that changed after the break, however.

In more ways than one, the Greyhounds came home from Saturday’s McIntosh Invitational with first place.Not only did Jones County win first place out of 22 teams, but four wrestlers won first place in their respective divisions with two others taking second.
