Book Sale

Jones County Friends of the Library will have their monthly book sale, Saturday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Located at the Jones County Pre-K Building E.

Books for all ages. $.50 and $1.00. All proceeds go to our own Jones County Library.

Messiah Performances

George Frideric Handel’s Messiah has been celebrated as a musical observance of the Advent and Christmas season for more than two centuries. This event is a long-standing tradition for Middle Georgia as a beginning of the Christmas season. The Choral Society of Middle Georgia, the Mercer University Choir, featured soloists, and orchestra will present Handel’s masterpiece at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Macon, under the direction of Dr.

Gary G. Gerber.

The concert is offered on two nights: Thurs., Dec 4, and Fri., Dec. 5. The time for both nightsis7:30p.m. Thebeauty and holiness of St. Joseph Catholic Church brings even greater magnificence to the Messiah. Thechurchislocated at 830 Poplar Street in Macon.

Admission is $15 per person.
