Students in Ashley Denaro and Cindy Melendez’s Lion Classroom at Jones County Pre-K recently picked out their first school library books and explored a fun classroom unit all about pets.
Melendez introduced her pet tortoise, Georgina, to the class. Students observed Georgina and learned that tortoises can live up to 150 years.
