Real Life

“I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

(John 9:4).

Jesus never wasted time in doing His work. He was always about His Father’s business, leading people to salvation in Him. We too need to be about our Father’s business, obeying His command “preach the gospel to every creature” (Mk 16:15). Preach simply means to proclaim, and we are to proclaim the good news that Jesus saves!

How?

Pray. Ask God to burden your heart for the lost, and to then open up doors through which you can witness.

Minister in your own “backyard.” Family, friends, co-workers, neighbors--all need to hear the good news of Jesus. Pray for them by name, asking God to prepare their hearts to hear His word. Share your testimony with them. Share the plan of salvation. Invite them to church.

Let your walk match your talk. Let people see Jesus in how you live your life. Behave the way you believe!

Be ready to lend a helping hand to those who need it. Jesus didn’t just preach. He also ministered to the physical needs that people had.

Work while it is day.
