“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground“--Gen 2:7 God formed man from the dust of the ground.
This formed means to “squeeze into shape”. God got His hands dirty when He “squeezed into shape” Adam. He skillfully formed and fashioned Adam. Then He took a rib from that formed dust and formed woman--Eve. Adam and Eve were innocent dust. Perfect in creation. But that innocence would become polluted dust when their free will chose to freely eat forbidden fruit. And humanity has been polluted dust ever since.
Sinful. Lost. Hopeless.
So, Jesus came to make us redeemed dust. Bring us back to the innocence that we were formed from. Again He used His hands, got His hands dirty to save us, His hands nailed to a cross. And from His bloody hands Jesus creates us anew. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation--2 Cor 5:17. Come to Christ. Let Him turn your polluted dust into redeemed dust.
Be made anew.
